MEMBER OF GREAT BRITAIN JU-JITSU NATIONAL TEAM
All members, guests, and invitees of LondonCombat MMA Academy are required to adhere to these rules and regulations. These rules are incorporated into the Membership Agreement and are fundamental to the maintenance of gym standards and the optimal enjoyment of membership privileges. Non-compliance with these rules may result in ejection from the premises, denial of access to designated classes or areas of the facility, or, in cases of serious or repeated violations, termination of membership by LondonCombat MMA Academy.
It is the responsibility of each new member to consult with their physician regarding their suitability for physical activity before participating in any LondonCombat MMA Academy classes, especially if they have any pre-existing medical conditions. Physical exercise can exacerbate certain health issues. Members must inform their instructor of any existing illnesses, medical conditions, or injuries before, during, and immediately following each class. (Consider adding a waiver form that addresses this.)
Completion of the membership application process and full payment of fees are required before commencing any classes. The initial membership payment comprises a non-refundable registration fee, uniform fee, and the first month's tuition fee for the selected membership plan. Subsequent monthly tuition fees are due on the anniversary of the member's registration date (e.g., registration on the 10th of the month establishes the 10th of each month as the due date). Membership is not deemed active until LondonCombat MMA Academy has received the fully completed membership application and all applicable fees. LondonCombat MMA Academy reserves the right to decline or terminate any membership application at its sole discretion.
Tuition fees are due monthly on the same day as the member's initial registration date (see sign-up fee policy). Payment is required regardless of short-term absences, including holidays or periods of club closure for holidays or refurbishment. The academy will provide opportunities to make up for missed classes due to club closures upon reopening. Members absent for more than one month will be required to pay a re-registration fee. Reinstatement after an absence of more than two months will result in a one-belt demotion.
LondonCombat MMA Academy reserves the right to cancel scheduled classes due to instructor illness, emergency situations, or other unforeseen circumstances beyond its reasonable control. In such instances, members will be offered the opportunity to reschedule and attend an equivalent class within the same calendar month, subject to availability.
Personal Training/Private Lesson Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations made with more than forty-eight (48) hours' notice prior to the scheduled appointment will not incur any cancellation fee.
Cancellations made with less than forty-eight (48) hours' notice but more than twenty-four (24) hours' notice prior to the scheduled appointment will be subject to a cancellation fee equivalent to fifty percent (50%) of the lesson cost.
Cancellations made on the day of the scheduled appointment will be subject to a cancellation fee equivalent to one hundred percent (100%) of the lesson cost.
Eligibility for promotion tests is determined by student progress and attendance record. Prior to grading, preparatory classes will be conducted for eligible students. These sessions will specifically address the promotion test syllabus and all relevant material for the grading evaluation. Successful completion of the Wednesday preparatory sessions is required before proceeding to the promotion test. Please note that grading tests are subject to a fee.
All members are required to wear the designated LondonCombat MMA Academy uniform. Members arriving without the appropriate attire may be excluded from class.
Members shall be held fully liable and responsible for the actions and behavior of any guests they bring onto the academy premises, including those attending trial sessions or birthday parties. In the case of minor members, this responsibility rests with the parent or legal guardian.
All members are requested to bring a small towel and a spare t-shirt to each class. Members are expected to maintain appropriate hygiene by changing t-shirts and using a towel as needed, particularly if heavily perspiring, out of consideration for their training partners. Fingernails must be kept short and trimmed.
The wearing of any jewelry, including but not limited to watches, rings, necklaces, and bracelets, is prohibited during class. This restriction is implemented to minimize the risk of injury to participants and to prevent damage to personal items.
Abuse of club facilities, staff, or equipment is strictly prohibited. Members will be held financially responsible for any damages they cause. The club maintains a zero-tolerance policy regarding bullying, intimidation, or any form of disrespectful conduct towards other members or instructors. The use of cigarettes, e-cigarettes, and similar devices is prohibited throughout the club premises.
LondonCombat MMA Academy reserves the right to photograph and/or record video footage of classes for use in promotional materials, marketing initiatives, and on the official academy website. All such media shall remain the exclusive property of LondonCombat MMA Academy and will not be disseminated to any third party without express written consent.
