MEMBER OF GREAT BRITAIN JU-JITSU NATIONAL TEAM
All LondonCombat MMA Academy members, guests, and those periodically visiting must comply with these Rules. These Rules are incorporated into a Member’s Contract with us, and compliance with these Rules is important both to maintain the standards at our gym and to enable Members to get full enjoyment from their Membership.
Any person who does not comply with these Rules may be ejected from, or denied access to certain classes or the facility as a whole, or may have their Membership terminated by LondonCombat MMA Academy if the non-compliance is serious.
New members with existing medical conditions are advised to consult a doctor before attending and training in any classes offered by the LondonCombat MMA Academy as physical exercise could aggravate some medical problems. Before participating in the class, the member must inform his instructor of any existing sickness, medical problems or injuries and will also do so if any of these are experienced before, during and right after the session.
The membership application process must be completed before you can start attending any more classes. Your first membership payment includes a sign-up fee (payable again annually on renewal), your uniform fee and your first monthly fee of your chosen plan. All these fees are not refundable. Your signing up day will be thereafter your monthly payment day (ie: if you sign up on the 10th of the month, thereafter your monthly fees will be due on the 10th of each month). Membership is not complete until LondonCombat MMA Academy receives your completed membership and fees in full. No classes other than a free trial can be attended until membership is complete. LondonCombat MMA Academy has the absolute right to refuse an application for membership or cancel a membership at any time.
Lesson fees must be paid each month on the same day (signing up day, see sign-up fees rules). Fees must be paid even if you go on holiday for a few weeks and do not attend class, or exceptional closure of the club (holidays or refurbishment). When you come back to class you can attend additional lessons to make up for the ones you missed. Any absence for more than a month and registration fees will need to be paid. If you come back after missing classes for more than 2 months, you will be demoted 1 belt.
Classes may be cancelled by the LondonCombat MMA Academy at short notice due to instructor sickness or other unforeseen circumstances. Members are able to attend an extra class during the same month to make up for this cancelled class.
Personal Training/Private Lessons :
If you cancel more than 48 hours beforehand, there will be no charge.
If you cancel less than 48 hours beforehand, 50% will be charged.
If you cancel on the same day as your lesson, 100% will be charged.
Being invited to a promotion test depends on the student’s progress and how often the student attends classes. The table below shows approximately how long a student will have to wait for their promotion test.
Promotion Test preparations classes will be organised prior to Grading, for the students that are going for a promotion test, specifically targeting Promotion Test syllabus and everything that they would need for their grading day. Once they have successfully passed the Wednesday sessions, they will then receive their Promotion Test letter.

When a member brings a guest (free trial or birthday party guests) into the club, the member (or parent/guardian if the member is a minor) will be fully liable and responsible for the actions and behaviour of that guest.
All members are suggested to bring a small towel and an extra t-shirt to all classes. Please respect your training partners – change your t-shirt and wipe yourself down if you are soaked with sweat. All nails should be kept short.
